We have now received our passports back from Wellington and with it is a note that when we arrive in NZ we now go through as an NZ resident. However it does not say anything about returning to the UK. As most of you know for the next year we will be going backwards and forwards until our business with the UK is closed.
When we return to the UK do we go through as a normal British passport holder or do we have to join the Non European Countries Queue?
Kindest Regards

I go into NZ on my Kiwi passport and into the UK on my British passport - never had any problems or queries yet and I've done it seven times. And I use the "locals" queue for both because it's usually a bit shorter :)

Assuming you haven't given up British citizenship, then you're still an EU citizen/passport holder despite being an NZ resident. Just remember that your returning residents visa will need to be renewed after 2 years if you want to keep leaving and coming back to NZ.

AFAIK, that is how you are supposed to do it: enter the country as a citizen of it if you are one. There are some legal implications that I am not entirely sure of, but I think it has to do with who is 'responsible' for you if something happens to you.
