Has anyone had any experience with paper EOI .
I am having difficulties in putting across some information in the on line EOI.
Also the points I am getting through the on line EOI does not seem to tally with the points we calculated.
Any ideas/suggestions .
Many thanks

I am also having some difficulty with the on line eoi but it is cheaper and I think some of the problems I am having are because I am trying to rush and not read the questions properly.
Some better help pages wouldn't go amiss.

If memory serves me correctly, some of the points don't show up until the whole EOI has been completed.

We had problems with a few questions and made quick call to the helpline given and they advised us what to fill in. Saved us NZ$4000.!!

thanks all
We have now gone through the whole application form and most of the stuff seems sorted out.The points also seem to tally. There is however a couple of issues that will not enable us to complete. My partner(not the main applicant) has been offered a job. When it comes to filling in the details of the job offer, there is a note which states that if 'your partner has not worked in NZ before(which is the case),do not fill in any part of section L" ,which seems to be contradictory to their previous question of asking about partner's job.not sure whether this will affect the points. This note does not appear in the paper application. Will ring up NZIS and try and clarify.wondering if anyone has had similar experience.
Also we had our qualifications assessed in 1996 by NZQA (yes-that long ago),however there was no reference number or type of assessment ie preliminary/interim/full mentioned in their letter,so effectively the online EOI form remains incomplete
Also,if it becomes necessary, would submitting a paper application delay the process of ITA?
any thoughts most welcome

Hi Rav,
thought I'd bump your post back in as your main question is unanswered & I think you've raised a good one. Paper or online EOI anyone?
We know the paper costs more but will it affect the processing time?
Thanks

hi victoria
thanks for the kind words.
I suppose the lack of response would mean that majority of people must be using the online EOI. It is probably correct to assume that paper EOI might be taking longer and involve more work for NZIS.
We also, like the majority here, succumbed to the internet era and submitted the EOI online (thankfully got selected),though we would have loved to elaborate on a few questions asked. It also took us a very long of time(weeks literally) just filling up the details and going to the next page, that too with a reasonably fast broadband connection(definately would have been much quicker with pen and paper + the ability to clarify certain points). It would be good to hear the experiences from people who have submitted paper EOI.
