Does anyone have any information, opinions on Westport please? I've looked at the Open2 View Real Estate web site to get an idea of properties, but most of it seems to be building land, so I am guessing it's not well populated.

It's a rather small, sleepy township on the west coast of the South Island. Being on the West Coast it gets a lot of rain, so don't go there looking for the sun!

Not much in the way of jobs, as that part of NZ isn't really a big employer. No industrial, technical, etc 'assets' to speak of, however, the tourism industry is getting bigger there.
