Hi there,
We are very pleased with our 135 points even without a job offer :laugh . So we do want to send in our EOI. But does anyone know if, when either one of us gets a job offer after we submitted it, we can change our EOI? Or maybe even submit a new one with a higher number or points?
We don't really want to send it in now and risk having to wait for 3 months since we're both looking very hard for jobs.
Thanks already for any replies.

From the latest selections it would appear that they are selecting EOIs with less than 140 points - July 05 2007 Selection (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/generalinformation/news/smc040707.htm)
So I would say that if you are confident that your points have been calculated correctly then I would submit it now, it looks likely that it would be selected.
Not sure if you can update your EOI if you get a job offer in the meantime, but if you are selected then you can certainly update your ITA which would get your application processed more quickly (or at least it should)
If you did submit your EOI now, then potential employers should also look on you more favourably (more commitment and also should be able to start work sooner).
If you are expecting to here back from potential employers in the next couple of days, then I would wait i.e. you only need to submit your EOI before the next selection date.
BTW, there are some changes coming in on 30th July, so you may want to see if it would be better to apply before or after this date?

Prices will change after the 30th July.
The next selection from the pool is Wednesday so you will need to get your EOI in tuesday night. The are then every 2 weeks.
You can amend your eoi if you get a job offer so it would be OK to submit now.
