Can anyone recommend a NZ magazine - weekly/bi-weekly/monthly which details the dirty dealing in big business, politics (local, national), and the media.

I've had a look at "Investigate" but it appears to on concentrate on a few stories in details. What I am really looking for is something similar to the Private Eye in the UK. May be not so much in tone (although that would be nice *:) but in the sense of dealing with alot of different stories per issue.

Any ideas?

Nick have you tried The Listener? Not exactly scintillating journalism, but better than NBR... There's nothing in the same vein as Private Eye that I've found.

I'm not sure I'd recommend them, but you might find either the Listener or North and South are close to what you're looking for. The former tends to be more left wing-ish, the latter right wing (I've heard, I've never actually read it), but that's a generalisation.

Investigate I just find offensive :mad:

Thanks - we already get the Listener - very good for general coverage and a nice TV guide. I'll take a look at North & South next time I'm in Paperplus.

It is a shame that there is nothing which has the detailed stories like Private Eye. It sounds like there are alot of issues which may not getting reported.

I thought this was a fairly interesting article about investigative reporting in NZ. It's talking about TV in general but you still may find it interesting. If I find a good investigative magazine I'll let you know....you might want to look for one online that involves NZ and Australia as NZ is just so small that there may not be enough content for what you're after.
