Just cannot believe it. OH was offered a job in Nelson last week, no interview, purely on the basis of him writing off on spec to companies there. He spoke to the MD last Thursday and salary etc were all hunkydory so he has accepted.

We are going to be living in our dream location!!!!!:D

We are just so excited and are walking around with the biggest grins on our faces. I have been physically shaking as I think the adrenaline is coursing around my body. All our plans are having to be changed, container rerouted - just in time!! Apartment booked in Christchurch now cancelled. Having to start again now with research on schools, rentals etc but it is so worth it! This is what we wanted so much, we had resigned ourselves to Christchurch as the chances of an IT job in Nelson are incredibly slim, but we didn't feel excitement over it. As soon as we got this job news the excitement started so it is really meant to be. We just happened to submit a CV at exactly the right time.

We are so, so happy and just cannot wait to arrive!

A family kayak is now definitely at the top of our shopping list.

Yippppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! !

We loved Nelson and in particular the Greenacres golf course :clap and superb pizza bar the name of which escapes me at the moment, Hot Rock springs to mind but not sure.

For schools try Iona College - it was recommended to us by the local Doctor from the UK. His girls went there.

We had a tour round Nelson College for Girls on our reccy and were very impressed indeed, seemed to offer a good all-round education. Not sure of ages of your kids but 3 primary schools also had very good reputations, the Catholic school St Jopseph's, Nelson Central and Hampden Street. Good luck, enjoy a wonderful town!
