Hi Everyone. :)

A some time ago we (that is myself Andy, the wife Harriet and two children) started to consider a new life in NZ. Today this has become our dream and goal.

It has taken some time to get things sorted out, but are now about to put our house on the market and hope to be in NZ by the end of the year.

We have friends that move out to the Napier area just over a 2 years ago, and Harriet visited last November. She loved it.

I have sent many hours on this project, but you cannot beat experience that the members of this forum have.

I am looking to go for Work to Residence route under the Talent (Accredited Employers) Work Policy. This will be employment in hydraulics industry, technical sales, design & repair. (I also have experience in truck driving class 1).

We are looking to live in the Havelock North area.

I would like to hear from anyone that can offer any advise in these areas.

Anyway that us.

Regards Andy

Congratulations on your decision to choose for NZ. Unfortunately there's no specific advice I can offer at this time, but you certainly have come to the right place for answers, help and support !

Good luck with the process !

Hi Andy, Harriet and kids, welcome to the forum !
If you are thinking of moving to Hawkes Bay, you really should talk to a guy called Ron Massey in Napier City Council, he is the economic development manager. In English it is his job to help people relocate to Napier, he is a really nice guy. He has a wealth of information and can defiantly ‘open doors’ for people who are serious about relocating to the bay, all of his knowledge and services are free and he can help with housing, visas, jobs in fact just about anything.
Email him or give him a ring and just have a chat.
Tel: +64 6 834 4193 email: ron@napier.govt.nz
Good luck
James

Welcome to the forum guys (and girls).

Can't offer any direct advice, but sure you will find it on here. There are always people with information and willing to help.

Good luck in your move, just remember to plan everything very carefully and in plenty of time.

Steve
