Dear wifey and my daughter, who's on holiday over here from the UK have had a great ( awesome ) afternoon on the beach at ' Mount Maunganui '.
You may say, "but its winter".
Its been 17 degrees, sunny and no wind, SWEET.
While on the beach, a pod of Orca decided it was lunchtime at promptly started feeding right infront of them. Cruising along the surf line, then once they had found dinner, turning, and crashing through the surf, chasing the stingray right upto the shoreline and eating, almost beaching themselves !!!!
This was happening about 15 meters away from where wifey and daughter were sitting in the sand watching in awe. What a sight they had.
Just wish I could have been there aswell, but alas, someone has to work to pay the bills.
John
