I was wondering if anyone knows what's the availability and cost of Retin-A (tretinoin) gel in NZ? It's an acne medication. I checked the Pharmac schedule and it's not listed - the only tretinoin is a tablet listed as a chemotherapy drug. I checked the list of unsubsidized medication on pharmacydirect.co.nz but it doesn't list Retin-A (the list is quite short).
Thanks!

accord to medsafe..this retin-A is available in NZ under prescription. So cost of it is varied between chemist and whether is it suside if you got CSC (community service card)

Thanks Sophia! I've forgotten to check the MedSafe website. It's nice to know it's available in NZ! Hopefully it's not too outrageously expensive.

It's not subsidised, and is around $50 per tube (off the top of my head) and yes, you need a prescription

Thanks Jon! Sounds like it's not as expensive as I feared.
