Well I realised today we ave been here a whole month, time flies when your having fun. I can't believe it has gone so quickly, although we have been busy.

OH loves his job and seems to be really fitting into the new role, it was a big move as he had been with his last company 15 years. But thank fully all is good and he loves it. I'm still looking for a job, had one interview and waiting to hear on a few others, so fingers crossed. Starting to get a bit bored at home all day now, there are only so many things that need doing in a rental with little furniture. The dog can only go on so many walks in one day!!!

We love the house we are in, its even reasonably. warm. We now how a few more bits of furniture and kitchen utensils thanks to StevieD and Pinkpiggy, thanks guys. :nice1

We no longer have to cook with only one saucepan and have a table to sit at, pure luxury.

So so far we love it here, not too homesick, keeping in touch with family back home on a regualr basis which is good. We love Cambridge and it is so handy for Raglan or the Bay of Plenty and loads of other places.

The only thing I miss is Robinson summer fruit squash!!!

Its good to have the dog now and she seems to have traveled pretty well and has settled in.

I have even sat the theory driving test this morning, 100%, but I was really nervous before!!!! The pressure is on now for OH to pass!!!!

Well I'm off to the lake with the dog while the sun is still out.

Cheers

Jo

Fabulous to hear that you're settling in well, you've achieved quite a lot in a short space of time. Your job offer I'm sure is just around that corner too.

Time does fly here (as we've also found).

Best wishes

We have been here nearly 7 months and it makes my head spin to think about it. What is it with NZ, time flys so fast here! :D

Sure does fly doesn't it. That first month just passes you by, and in fact the other lot do too. We are 4 months shy of two years and it only seems like yesterday that we landed. One thing that does help is the likes of Stevie and Paula lending a hand, cos it is so daunting not having somebody around you in those first few weeks and even months. This is the beauty of having the forum and having a network on the ground, as i think quite a few of us know it works.

Good luck with the next 4 weeks and i hope to be delivering the goods as soon as they are in.

Hee. I did mine this week, too since my OH passed his & I figured I might as well get it over with, too! I was also really nervous though I think the only hard part was memorizing all those odd measurements like how many meters a load can extend in front/back of your vehicle and all that.

I agree with you all about time flying . . . we've been here a bit over 6 months and it's the fastest 6 months of my life. Every single day I wonder where the time went (well, I know where the part goes that I spend surfing the web :laugh but the rest of it goes fast, too!).

Good to hear that you're both getting on so well, and liking our old rental (which I was always moaning that I was freezing in - just proving that I am a whinging pom!!). Hope you get lucky on the job front soon.
