:D Hello again forumites, I've been coumputer-less for a couple of months now so unable to update. I also found when I tied to get back on forum I couldn't as I had a hotmail address & forum no longer accepts them. So, I'm back as Nettie 2 (if anyone really cares!!)
Anyway enough of that, & on to what matters.... we have been in NZ for 3 months now, some times it feels like a couple of weeks, others for ever! I know this is terrible to admit, but we are still in holiday mode! 3 months of doing nothing...it's great! It's coming to an end soon though, aaah I hear you all say! We have decided to settle in Taupo for the time being. We were living with Kevins sister, but his youngest son decided he wanted to join us from the UK so we had to think about our own place. We made an offer on a lovely 4 bdrm place, but when we went to bank we discovered the exchange rate was even lower than we thought so we pulled out as we would have been left with nothing. Anyway, we were lucky and found a gorgeous rental which suits us down to the ground for 4 months. Hopefully in that time exchange rate will improve in our favour. So, as we will be incurring lots of bills now I suppose we had better start job hunting, shame!
The first month was the hardest for me. Sharing a house is not the same as being on your own in your own space. I felt very restricted and at times lonely even though I was surrounded by people. I missed my friends alot. There were days when I thought "what have I done?" but now we are in our own place it's amazing how different I feel.
Anyway enough for now, it's good to be online again and read how everyone else is getting on. I've got a lot of catching up to do!
