I bought one today as I'm fed up looking at scruffy leaves everywhere. Anyone used one and are they any good. Still putting mine together at the moment and will have a go in the morning. OH just gave me a great suggestion... read the instructions if I can't put it together. Mmmm I don't do instruction books :uhoh

Is it one of those big long tube shaped ones?? Dont use the suck function, one stone and its caput, use the blow to get the leaves in one corner and collect them up by hand. (Ours lasted 5 mins on suck til a stone killed it!)

Where did you get it Nic, and how much did it cost? I looked vaguely in Mitre 10 last weekend and they seemed to be hundreds of dollars.

Yeah I got it at Mitre 10. They range from $90 - $300. The one we got (on their recommendation) was $115 but there was a discount 3 days on and we saved 15%. Bargain!!

Sal the man in the store said to be very careful about just that. He said stay away from stones etc. The only bit of hoovering I wanted to do is on the patio and there aren't stones on there. The rest I'll blow into next doors garden! :laugh :laugh

I used to use my old Henry hoover in the UK to hoover the lawn and it did a great job, didn't mind stones, small mole hills, sludgy leaves on the patio etc.

I started using it for thus once I had a dyson for indoors and the tatty state of the lawn was annoying me and we didn't have a grass rake. I didn't bring it with me in the end and I've already regretted it :(
