Right im going to be a bit thick here, but ill ask anyway.
We are off to Aussie in 8 weeks and 5 days, (not that im counting honest!) and was wondering if i need to take an adapter for the plug sockets, not sure if they are the same as NZ, thanx for ur help!

Also im a little worried about spiders and other equally awful stuff they have in Aussie, would like to hear ur stories "woke to find huge spider sleeping next to me"!) or "I spent a whole month there and never saw a thing."...thats what im hoping the most for but pls be honest i need to know what to expect so i can prepere myself.

I've only been to Brisbane but can report that the only creepy-crawlies I saw where under glass and had pins through them - at the museum :D

Where are u off to, lucky thing. There's a few from Chch area heading to Oz over the next few weeks!

Hi Helen, Welcome back we have missed u!
Off to the Gold Coast, kids will be dragging me on all the rides when all i want to do is get a tan and lie on the beach! not sure about going in the sea i know there is worse things than spiders in there lol
I wont be going to any museums so hopefully i wont see any at all.

Sockets are the same as NZ, so you will be fine with electrical stuff.

I did not see any creepy crawlies when we were in Melbourne, but then again I wasn't looking!
