Can't believe we've finally got to this stage. They start tomorrow and the house is still in utter chaos trying to sort things out for them. They were supposed to start this coming Monday but have just brought it forward as we're going for a 40ft so we have lost the weekend we needed to complete everything. Aagghhhhhhhh.

Hey - stop panicking.........
These guys are professionals and have seen it all before.
Just make them aware of the stuff that you don't want them to pack and they'll take care of the rest.
You'll be fine.
Good luck,
Julie

Just speaking generally, and not to imply anything in your case Aberdian, but I imagine in some households it could be tough to tell the difference between what's rubbish and what isn't, so the movers don't try . . .

If it's any consolation, we were still doing last minute tidying of my flat (which we were putting up for rent) when the taxi arrived to take us to the airport :exit

just fyi ... make sure that you have the inventory of everything you are importing as you will have to fill out forms this end detailing it all for MAF and customs - items/value etc
best to do it now when you know it, rather than a couple of months later trying to remember what it all was ...
