Hi everyone

As a lot of you already know we are leaving for the UK on the 29th September this year. The house we rent in Half Moon Bay, Auckland is now on the rental market, the young couple who own it are in the uk "working" for a while and their parents are overseeing the rental - it will be leased initialy through an agent so as to check refs. and fix a bond, and draw up up a contract etc, then any probs call the landlords direct who have been spot on with us.

The House is a large 3 bedroom on a big section which has been kept lovely, lawned front and back with many shrubs and fruit trees - a large drive and separate garage. It is fully fenced so safe for children or pets. It has a large open plan kitchen and dining area ( with plenty of room for office space too)that leads through sliding doors to a private back deck and garden. There is also a small laundry room of the kitchen. The living room also has sliding doors to a deck at the front. Two large bedrooms and a smaller one (bigger than a standard uk small bedroom though) A bathroom with bath and shower and of course a loo.

The area is very quiet and safe with very good schools and nurseries in walking distance and 10 mins from a small shopping plaza and supermarkets, 10 mins ( if that) drive to beach and ferry port to CBD (ferry crossing half hr,) or 35 drive to CBD. 10 mins to Botany centre, 5 mins from Gill and 5 from jubjub!

It as a log burner which is fab. With a small mobile gas fire we purchased in the dining room, and two small rads, that we bought for the childrens rooms it has been toasty during the winter - albeit a bit draughty (as with all NZ homes)

If anyone is interested let us know, oh and we are more than happy to sell our furniture when we go home, white goods, beds, grdn. furn, trampoline, car! etc if any one is interested, we bought some of the stuff 2nd hand and so they are not pricey -go on grab a bargain!

We are paying $400 per week which is an avereage rent for this area, we did want to pay about $100 less per week but the houses we found for that were not in the same league - and to be honest we looked at a lot of really horrible houses - this one we accepted before we had even seen inside - it was so much better than any others we had seen.

will post some pics gimme half hr.

I wish I could PM you, but unfortunately I'm new on this site. Let me know if it's still available or if you know anyone else who might have a similar place for rent. we were looking for Northshore, but your place is so lovely....

thanks, Mishel
