Hi

Wondered if anyone had any experience of video conference interviews and organising of? Hubby has been asked to check out video conference facilities here and has done so but not sure how the whole organisation of it works. Anybody had similar experience? Get the feeling that potential employer not sure either (although big organisation) so we seem to be advising/doing the organising. Really good job opportunity so what to get it right!

Thanks in advance

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but have you looked into Skype (www.skype.com)?
I believe it's free from computer to computer (and really cheap from computer to telephone). If both computers are webcam enabled you can video conference that way. I used it to have weekly meetings with my boss while he was in France.
In addition, sometimes copy/print shop type places rent video conference booths.
Hope that's a little bit helpful!

OH recently had a video conference interview. The potential employer arranged it and e-mailed him the location. It was located in midtown but I don't know if that helps you. PM if you need more info.

Hey folks

Thanks for the info - we are in the UK and have located a couple of venues. Live in rural location so skype not great as broadband connection inconsistent. Just though it was a bit weird that the employer seemed a bit confused but hopefully we've given them venues and they sort it out with their techie folk!?

This is just a great job opportunity and don't want to lose it over something silly!

Thank again
