Hi Guys/Gals

Mr and Mrs Chrsitmas will be passing through HK airport next Saturday and were wondering if there was any essential shopping or eating to be recommended. (Only for a couple of hours outbound, but longer on the return.)

We don't have long enough to venture out, but it would be nice to hear of any opinions so we know where best to go first. :hopeso :cheers

Hi

Having just come back that way I can recommend having a massage in the hairdressers/massage place $150 for 15 mins, made my legs tingle, just what you need after 12 hours on a plane, I think it was heading out towards gate 15, I left my bags with my hubby, just to be safe.

There are the usual shops we didnt try the restaurants as we have a 7 yr old and he was more interested in BKing and Popeyes and a quick stop in the Disney store!

Have a look at the airport website www.hongkongairport.com it is full of info.

It is a lovely airport, but be warned it is a really long way to the last gate, our plane left from gate 69 and we only just made it!!

Enjoy your visit.

Loulou

Cap'n X,

Not sure how much time you have between flights, but if you've got 4-5 hours you might want to check out the Tiantin Buddha. It's huge, and it's in the same area as the airport (Lantau Island). I don't think you'd need to go into HK proper to get there, either, which would be a big time bonus.

On the other hand, if you've got 4-5 hours, you could easily take the express train from the airport to Kowloon so you could get the obligatory view of HK Island from across Victoria Harbour. (Don't forget the camera!)

HTH,
Dan
