We just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum, it's been an absolute lifeline to us and many others, I'm sure, with getting any information we have needed, & not only in helping us make the initial decision to apply but with any other aspects we could possibly consider.

We are still in the Selected stage just now, hoping to move to successful shortly; with hundreds of questions still unanswered but knowing that someone on this forum will have the kindness to pass their knowledge on is very comforting.

:clap :clap

Thank you to you all and hopefully we will get to see some of you when we take our leap into our new NZ life :cheers

Iv`e found this forum invaluable at times.

I have lots of family & friends who wish us all the luck in the world but don`t wish to speak about it or listen to me going on and on.

They have never had to ask a removal co. to come out & price a shipping job so have no info to guide us.

They have no idea about NZ immigration so can answer no questions I might have.

I can actually sense the `Don`t talk about this please` situation. (If we don``t speak about it I may not go!!!)

So yes what a fantastic forum. Most people on this site are in the same boat as yourself and thus makes questions about the whole journey a damn sight easier.

I also wish to show my gratification :clap :clap :clap

KD17,
I couldn't agree more. Everyone is so helpful and friendly on this forum! It's so much better hearing about experiences real people face than reading some dry "Living in NZ" book.

Many thanks to everyone for their thoughtful posts and answers.

Wholeheartidly agree with comments above :nice1

Also: Soon after registering on the forum Diny suggested we came along to the 1st North West (of England) meeting in October (we're lucky that there seem to be quite a number of forum members in the NW). So we went along and feel that we've gained an extended family (without any usual family type issues  )

We have learned so much from this site, don't know what we'd do without you guys. Thanks for all the info and experiences so far. Hope some of what I have to contribute helps others too.

Best of luck to all across the world in 2005, in making your dreams come true.

Babette

For me, one of the best things about this forum is that it is dedicated to NZ. There are some pretty useful similar forums that cover Oz and NZ, but usually the number of Oz posts outweighs NZ posts heavily... so ya gets ya hopes up by a message title suchas "PR Question" only to open it, scan the message body and see acronyms such as DIMIA all over the show!

This site is superb because the people are great, with good humour and honesty, and the content reaches that critical and searchable level of detail that marks a great forum.

Cheers,
Matt.
