We're considering flying up to Auckland for the War of the Worlds stage show. Before we commit, has anyone seen it before elsewhere, heard any reviews? I'm a huge fan of the album :o and love live shows so I'm hoping it's a doozy!

While I'm at it - any nice, cheap, hotels (functional but clean) that's you could recommend within easy reach of the Vector Arena (we'll be on foot or in cab I should think).

I can highly recommend it mate, i saw it April last year in Nottingham, and again later at london (which the dvd is of). So i saw it twice and loved it both times.. Also a huge fan of the album, and i can say the first time the "Ulah" in 3d sound echoes around the arena your heart jumps, and when justin sang my all time fav song "forever autumn" then the hairs on back my neck stood up..

Seriously thinking of going yet again myself, but i decide nearer time if they still have tickets left. Shame its not coming to Welly.

But, hell yeah go see it :nice1

For cheap hotels have a look at this thread, both are within walking distance of Vector.

and keep an eye on Air NZ grabaseat, you never know, you might find that magic combination of cheap flights.

Well... we booked. :nice1 All the excuses were whipped out - early 40th, early Xmas, early retirement pressies etc etc, broken bath - but I just couldn't let this one pass us by.. :clap

Have enquired at the Chalet Chevron, http://www.chaletchevron.com/ , as it has come highly recommended from many sources.
