Im doing some xmas shopping in HMV on Dec 23rd and get a call from our case worker:
"I'm calling to let you know your application for residence that you made on 15th Dec has been approved. I'm now passing it on to one of my colleagues to process and you should have your passports back from them in the New Year"
"Wow, thanks alot"
The same day an hour later:
"Hi, this is Pat's colleague. Im calling to see when you want to pick up your passports"
"Wha? You mean they are ready?"
"Yeah, you can pick them up today or any time tomorrow before 1pm as were closing for xmas"
"I'll be there first thing, you guys open at 10am right?"
"Yeah but come in at 9.30am"
"Thanks"
"Happy Christmas"
Onlookers at HMV wondered why the man was running between the aisles with his hands in the air and his t-shirt over his head.
Application took 8 days to process. And 1 hr for visas in passports
:) the best xmas present ever
Were off to AKL on the 17th Jan
