The process of shipping our dog is now under way and I am trying to find a good home for our Cat.

I have had 2 people interested in taking her, one lives rural but has 2 dogs and another cat and although we have a dog they are not best friends, the ther person does not have any other pets but lives on a main road. She said she has a walled courtyard garden and that the cat will be safe.

I feel guilty enough about not taking her with us and worry that I will make the wrong decision about where to send her. HELP:wah

The dog is costing a fortune, not to mention kennels when she arrives but can anyone give me some idea of what it cost to ship the cat and is there still time to arrange it (dog flys 7th Sept with Airpets) I know I could ring Airpets in the morning but I want to sleep tonight:roll

You will need 30 days for the vet stuff to be done. We are flying out our cat with Airpets and is costing £1125 including 11 days boarding in the UK prior to flight (to give us time to find a place to live!!) and all the Vet fees etc.
Hope this helps!!! Good luck with the decision

I rehoused 4 cats, one in particular preferred her new home as she got to sleep on their bed and have the house to herself. I suggest the one with no other pets as your cat will have total love and attention.

We have taken over 2 cats here from a girl leaving to go to OZ they fitted in from day one, so do not worry, cats are very adapatable.

Good luck with the move

Has the price of shipping really gone up that much, I was under the impression that it cost £700-£800 per cat (a previous poster quoted £800 for two cats with Airpets) - or do you have a particularly large cat :laugh

Saddly she is a really small cat!. We have been a little lazy and gone for the full serivice, and the boarding has pushed the price up alittle. It would certianily be cheaper if we had done the Vet checks etc ourselves!
