Had out medicals on 26th July (friday) and doctor said that we should get results back the following wed or thur. Phoned on friday and got a typical doctors receptionist who all but shouted at me to stop wasting her time and someone would phone me when the reports were ready.
OH phoned yesterday, monday and was told that the blood results were still not back, that they couldn't chase them up and anyway the doctor was on holiday.
OH phoned again twice today, second time the blood test results were back by fax and the doctor was back in tomorrow.
Our ITA is finished, ready to go, just need those medical results. I was planning to hand deliver first thing tomorrow, but now looks like will wait until Dr rings, rush and get results and jump on a train.
NZIS say that, if all is in order we should still manage PR before we fly on 23rd, if not ?????? (not panicking at all - honest)

Isn't it frustrating? I called EWRB in NZ last night to chase up the last piece of evidence needed for our ITA. They received it on 22 May and we were originally advised that it would take 6-8 weeks. It has now been almost 12 and it still hasn't left them. We had arranged to take all docs to London last Friday.......are you going without selling the house then? I've lost track with your story so far....just read your other post, sorry about that. Renting seems to be an absolute minefield also. Why is nothing straightforward?

We fly on 23rd Aug to LA, have 4 days in LA and then onto Auckland, Kim starts work on 3rd September.
We haven't sold the house but have had an offer for the full asking price, just waiting for them to sell theirs.
Most of the rubbish and things we are not taking has been cleared from the house and taken to car boot sale (made £80), sold at work (made £150), taken to charity shop or tip.
removal men are booked, I think, for first week in September, in order to get on boat later that week, and we will leave the house empty pending sale / renting.
Camper has been advertised, had lots of interest but no one has come to see it yet,
Car will be valetted tomorrow and then go on autotrader for a week. If it doesn't sell then we will use one of the web based "we buy any car" sites.

phoned doc again, they have fax of all the paperwork required from blood test except the HIV results which they wont fax so waiting for courier.
Doc said to go around at 10:30 and it should all be finished, then rush back for the next train and get to London by about 1.30.
then join the queue.

then join the queue.
Not strictly a comment on the doc thread, but ahh, I remember the NZIS queue. I quite liked it in NZ House. I went there a couple of times and each time you see different people there waiting for the same reason. You all know why you're there and you give each other a smile and a wink. There's all sorts of people there, families, individuals and I found the staff super friendly, and the queue goes pretty quickly. I seem to remember that there was a quick drop of box on the left hand side, but I was always handed it over to a member of staff and never had to wait more than 15 mins.
This probably doesn't help the stress that you're in at the moment, but it's a relief when it's done and if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
