Well we had our medicals today and all went well. The Dr said we were both very healthy. Only problem was my waist measurement.............6cm above the allowed measurement. This does cause a problem. It means I need a fasting glucose and lipid test. The glucose test isn't going to be a problem but the lipid test is going to show I have a very high cholesterol level - 7.2. I have a week before I go back for the test (wasn't fasted today), any suggestions for losing 1.6 in cholesterol between now and then? Porridge is supposed to be good and I've got a stash of benecol in the cupboard.....other than that I'm stuck.:roll ;)

X-ray nearly didn't happen 'cause of my fertility treatment......... once the nurse knew there was even the vaguest possiblity of me being up the duff she didn't want to do the radiograph. I think the only thing that swung it was the fact that I spend every day at work doing radiographs of animals.

There was a couple in the radiologists waiting room and the man was wearing a NZ rugby shirt and the woman looked for all the world like Diny.....I bottled out of asking..........is Diny still in NZ?

Heres a site that might help http://www.florapro-activ.co.nz/309.htm, give you some menu plans too, the whole plan is designed to reduce cholesterol.

Not sure if Diny is still here or not, she was headed back to the UK soon.

No cream!! i had a friend who's cholesterol when off the charts because of her fondness for baileys irish cream. once she stopped that, her numbers went down to normal. I would think cut out as much fat as possible.
