Hi to everyone on the forum.
My name is Mike, My partner is Gemma and the little one is Daniel(10 months and becoming a handful!)
We are hoping to arrive in NZ around this time next year. Due to Gemma needing to complete her final year in university, we wll originally be based around Auckland, probably in Waitakere city.
Anyway, just thought i would give you all a brief outline of our plan.
See you on the forum.:nice1

Well, iam currently working as a shipping co-ordinator and have been for the last 8 years. I am also a qualified tiler.
Gemma is a student Midwife and Daniel is practicing is walking!!
Originally, we were going to wait for Gemma to qualify before making the move but as time goes on and we see what is going on around us, we all just want to go to NZ asap.
How about you and the family?

Hi and welcome to the forum,
We are living in Sunny Waitakere City and Gemma should have no probs as West Auckland ( like the rest of NZ ) is desperately short of midwives.
Good luck with your plans,
K

Hiya Mike and family. I'm from sunny Liverpool too :nice1
OH is an electrian, and he arrived this week at Christchurch. He is looking for a job, and is staying in a B and B, but looking for a flat share.
He is really impressed with New Zealand, and me and my son can't wait to join him.
Good luck to you all with your move :cheers

Hi Mike
Welcome to the forum! We have found this the most amazing resource and apart from being full of friendly, helpful people you can find a thread on just about anything that you need to know if you do a search. We lurked for a long time before we actually said anything and could not have managed without all the help we have found here. I hope everything goes well with your application!

Hiya lar!! Ex- Aintree, NZ since March, tell us a bit about where you are from etc. And don't forget the NW meets for fellow forumites in your area. Look up members andy-dee or speckythecky, they are doing the rounds at the moment before leaving for NZ soon.

Hi Stevied and everyone who has posted a welcoming reply.
We live near Childwall five ways. You will probably know where that is. I have a few friends that live up in Aintree. See you lived in Cambridge as weel. Are you from Liverpool?
I will keep an eye out for the north west meets. Thanks for pointing it out.
Cheers
Mike
