Has anyone been to the Vector Arena?

I'd like to know if it's walkable from the Parnell area of Auckland and if it's the sort of place you'd walk back from at night after, say, a concert etc... or should we book cabs??

:p its all the volcanos, hills all over the place. My cousin was up from Hawkes bay and got a bit out of puff, she had forgotten what hills were like!

you could walk down, its not a bad walk and not too far. but coming back its definitely a hill!

It's very walkable. About 10 mins max to the Vector (unless you're closer to Newmarket). I'd be surprised if any taxi would take that fare to be honest.

If you're looking for a nice restaurant in Parnell, can definitely recommend Iguacu (sp?)

Oregonkiwi - brill info sites, thanks! The hotel is on Brighton Road in Parnell so it looks like we'll have no probs with food and walking to venue.
