Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! My container finally arrived, a month late and nearly 7 months after we arrived. It's made me so happy and my house finally looks like home. It came on Friday morning (I stood by the gate for 2 hours staring down the road and getting excited every time I heard a lorry). The men who delivered it completely failed to share my joy, but grudgingly agreed to some photos. We worked all weekend to unpack and clean, and put up shelves and pictures, and now it's all done and it looks GREAT if I say so myself.

All was in good order apart from a missing dehumidifier (v annoying) and some of my framed photos had stuck to the glass of the frame (must have been the heat) and are a bit ruined (warning, take photos out of frames before shipping and store carefully). Also Justin's bike was PLASTERED in mud, despite me asking the shippers to clean it, so MAF took it for cleaning. They also clipped off every pine cone from my mantlepiece Xmas decoration and confiscated my cinnamon scented willow twig Xmas wreath which I was rather fond of, but hey-ho, never mind.

There was a low point last night, when the house was a complete tip, and I began to wonder why I ever brought ANY of this stupid stuff, but I had a snack and a glass of wine, and I managed to work through it and here I am, sitting happily on a SOFA - HOORAY!!!!!!

Cheers MJ71 - there are lots of nice houses in Cambridge! We didn't send for our stuff for 3 months, but it did take 3 months to get here.
