ie main applicant had to keep job for 3 months
where do we send payslips/evidence to ? (or is this known by the immigration agency already by their own checks ?)

Hi Whisky,
don't know if this helps: We've got section 18a with our PR visas (have to stay in job offered for 3 months and then give evidence of it to Immigration). In our letter from Immigration (London Branch) it states the kind of evidence we need to hand in when the three months are over, and they give us an address where to post it to or drop it off at one of the three INZ branches in Auckland. Check your letter if they gave you an address. If you don't have any, PM me.
Hope this helps.
And congrats on your house!

Were you given a contact at NZIS in NZ for when you got here? Our letter told us who we had to contact (we also had section 18A condition)
We sent in copy of first bank statement showing wages going in, and most up to date one showing wages going in, a letter from employer stating the start date and that Kev was still working for them, and all our passports.
They were stamped with new visas and sent back within a week - no problems.

Hi WTD,
I've found the contact details for NZIS Auckland (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/branch/aucklandcentralhome/Location/). Let me know how you get on, as I need to do the same. Not sure if it's done by an immigration agent though. Probably not, but you could phone and check.
And congrats on your house.

Yep, that's where the Queen St. office is now. But please note, all, that from the end of next week (on Aug. 24th) this NZIS office is moving down Queen St. They will be more in the 'heart' of Queen St., roughly diagonally opposite the Civic Theatre and quite near the Wellesley St. turning towards the central public library.
So: same side of Queen Street as now, but further down in the teeming centre of things.

Be careful - you might be better off trying to ring them or email them to see where you have to send your stuff (wouldn't want to have to queue for hours then find out it was a waste of time!!) - we have NZIS here in Palmerston but I wasn't allowed to take everything in there, I had to send it all down to Christchurch!! I was told at the time that Christchurch dealt with these things!

Hi the WTD,
I wondered how'd you've got on. I've just dug out our immigration letter and it says that you need to send them a:
letter from your employer (I assume the main applicant's employer) on business letterhead paper, confirming the start date, location and business contact details
Payslips
Bank statements
Passports
Inform the nearest branch of INZ of your residential address
Covering letter specifying that you are requesting removal of your 18A conditions
These can then be posted to the Manukua branch or placed securely in the drop of box in the reception areas of the three INZ branches in Auckland.
They will then send back the passports, including a Welcome Pack (although I wonder how they think we've survived for the last five months).
Better do my soon as we're coming up to six months and they only allow you seven...:exit

I've done mine. If you're going to the one on Queen Street, it's the building next to Real Groovy on the left hand side going up the hill. I think it's on the second floorm, but all of the levels are on skewed as it's on the hill. Out the lifts and diagonally across from you (it took me a while to twig this because nothing's sign posted :roll ). There's a drop of box as on your left as you immediately go through the doors. Well that's were I dropped mine off, as there was a stinking long queue to the reception...
And yes, see you on the 1st.

Hi,
We are at the same position
Is it possible the job to be contract (3 months at least) or it has to be permanent?
Thanks,

Cool and congrats on your new house WTD.
BTW, we've contacted NZIS, and they say they've received our documents, but they don't say what's holding it up. The only thing I can think of is if they've left a message for my employer to check that I do actually work there. We are trying to check this with them though, but...
Do you know if NZIS contacted the main applicant's employer to check that they did work there? My boss is particularly rubbish at listening to his voicemail (his telephone's voicemail light illuminated for some three months now, so I know he doesn't listen to his voicemail), so if NZIS left him a message he won't have picked it up. I've pushed him several times in the last few weeks to listen to his voicemail , thuis extinguishing the light, but it's still illuminated. Aggghhhh.
And this is the same guy who went to Austrailia on business, but whose RRV had run out and he hadn't applied for the IRRV, so Immigration weren't going to let him back in. Although he has a business, house, wife and kids in NZ was besides the point.... :roll

OH not sure if they contacted them - works for government dept anyway presumably a lot easier to check than "normal" cases-ie internal email etc
i'm sure it is something minor- you have complied fully with the conditions so there should be no problems only paper shuffling issue

Well, we've eventually got our passports back with Section 18A removed. It's only taken 30 working days (it should take a maximum of 20) and some significant chasing from the OH. In the end the OH told our immigration officer that we needed our passports that we were going away (that was yesterday) and they turned them round in 24 hours.
We were told that our original immigration officer had moved departments, but the OH managed to sort it out in the end.
And for those that need to know, the new Auckland Immigration offices are on the East side of Queen Street, up the escalator next to JB Hi-Fi. If you look hard enough, you can see the number 280 on the left hand side. Up two escalators, the lift to the fourth floor. You can't miss it. :laugh
And so my advice is chase constantly, make a nuisance of yourself. It's the only way to get things done.
