Well we have had some response from our EOI officer egarding our qualifications. Can anyone help me with a few queries about having my qualifications assessed.

a) Im in South Africa would it be better to have my qualifications sent to the company who have offered me employment and get them to send them in from NZ side - or can it be done from here?

b) How long does this take as I have been told they will only hold onto our EOI for 3 weeks?

My goodness this is mega stressful time for us all!!!!

I hope someone will be able to assist us
Thanks a million
Jayne

It can be done from SA but the chances of it being done in less than 3 weeks are fairly slim. Even fast track applications are taking longer than that at the moment.
You do not need your quals assessed for your EOI, but you do for your ITA.
If you have any concerns about the level you will be assessed, you could ask for a preassessment before your EOI goes in and then a full assessment, if necessary, for your ITA.

Hi Speckythecky
Thanks for your advise - we have sent off our pore assessment and wonder if we should submit out qualifications for assessment at same time to make faster progress. We just seem to be paying for all of this and dread the thought we are refused after all this money.

Thanks again for your help - wondeful to think you not alone in this process.

I know just what you mean
I had my credit card refused 5 times in the last week, (the last time was our migrant levy) before we realised that we had reached our credit limit - it is such an expensive time.
