Looking at teaching jobs, can someone tell me what 'Scale A' refers to ? Also imcumbent applying, I know this has been asked before but can I find it despite searching?! One more thing, where it says U5, what does this mean?

Incumbent applying means that someone is currently doing the job and they will be applying for it permenantly.
This can work either way - if they are good they will get the job whatever, but if they aren't then the job is available to anyone
not sure about the other scales but is U5 under fives?

Scale A is the standard teaching scale - a position with no responsibility or extra $$$ for management work.
