Another thing i'm finding it weird getting used to are mail boxes! I can see why they are a good idea in a more rural country...otherwise poor post person would spend forever going up and long driveways. Problem is...I keep forgetting to check for post, and by the time I do it's all wet and soggy :o .
They also don't seem very secure (considering how many shredders are on the market to destroy unwanted mail)...anyone had any post stolen in NZ?

Not stolen, but blown down the road, or fallen out onto the ground... dunno if we have ever actually lost anything though, and if we did it wasnt important, or we would have noticed... soggy mail is a bit of a fact of life really.... unless you get a nice new expensive mail box! Seen a nice one at about $250 that wont let the rain in....
