Short and breif hello from graeme, lorna,graeme jnr(4) and gregor(3wks),
possible move to NZ the middle of next year,hope to do a week /10 days in Feb/March have LGV class 1 11yrs exp refrigerated transport,OH admin officer for civil service,any advise on jobs,rates of pay, good areas for kids (mostly) very welcome .

PS well not that short and breif.as im asking a lot.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I am a bit concerned that you say you are coming over for a week to 10 days. Bear in mind that at least 2-3 days is in travelling then jet lag. This will give you very little time to appreciate NZ. Personally I would say you need at least 2-3 weeks otherwise you will not have much time at all.
If that is all the time you can spare then ok but you really will not be able to get much done in less than a week.
Hope I am not sounding a bit off putting but if you are coming all this way then you do need a bit more time

Good luck with your move. We are moving from Auckland to Motherwell in december. Could you advise us on any good places to meet people. I hear there's a pub called the brass button and the ashey inn which has regular entertainment and local attractions. Would you recommend it.:cheers
