Hi Everyone

Well, I'm back in the states and I really miss NZ. Not that there isn't alot of fun outdoors stuff to do here, it'll just take some time to get back into the swing of things. As far as my trip went, all I can say is that it was superb. You kiwis have a wonderful country and I am chomping at the bit to return. Unfortunately, it'll probably take two years before that happens. Anyway, here are some pics of our trip that I wanted to share...

After all of this, I can't wait to complete this emmigration procedure. Both my wife and I feel that this really is the right choice for us now...

Regards,

John

Great photos.
I particulary like the glacier reflected in the lake, Superb. Exactly where was that taken? Franz Josef ?

The hardest part about being home is the fact that it is August and that it is 13 C out and it was WARMER in NZ then it is back here now. For Christ sakes, it is fall here now!

We started in Auckland and the temps were 15-17. When we got to Wellington temps were 13-15 and windy. On the south island, one would think that it would get cooler, but in Christchurch it got up to 18 C! By the time we got to Franz Josef, though, things were cooling down with highs that were just below 10. In Queenstown, I would say the highs were pushing 5-6 C. All in all, thats pretty warm for a winter...and from where I'm from, that isn't even considered winter...more like early spring or fall.

All of this makes me pretty afraid for our winter. Especially when I know how good I could have it in NZ.
