Not sure where this thread goes. On tv tonight which ive been watching is Billy Connolly's world tour to New Zealand very funny but great to watch nz on tv as we're not their yet! anyone wanting to watch it is on uktv g2 on sky

It is a great series. Interestingly, there is almost zero swearing in the travel sections (as oppposed to the stand-up sections), and I wish there was a way to omit the stand-up bits because our five year old lad loves the show! I put it on for him and try to chapter jump conscientiously, but once in a while I'll forget and wander out to put the kettle on and am thus a few seconds late :o ... when that happens you should see me sprinting into the room to press the chapter button!!

It could be that they deliberately made the travel sections family friendly in case they screen them as 'shorts', or on in-flight travel slots, or similar.

I suppose there might be a way to program the DVD player to skip the stand-up, but if so that seems like an awful lot of work!

Anyway, if anyone in the industry is reading this, there's a thought for you re. kid-friendly DVD set-up options.:nice1

Oh, one more thing: if you are shopping for the NZ series, keep in mind that it might be good value to buy the box set of all Billy's 'World Tour' series. I think that shops within NZ discount the box set from time to time, and this is probably the case online or in your local stores too. Who knows? For a few dollars more, you might be able to get the whole collection!
