The certified copies of qualifications etc - do they have to be signed by a solicitor or can just a solicitor's official stamp with it signed by clerical staff do?

Take them to your local magistrates court and despite a bit of hanging around they'll do them for nothing :clap
Best to give them a ring to check best time, in our case , Telford , 9.30am was out by 10.30 and they were really helpful, 2 copies of everything so had spares just in case.

I only needed certified copies of documents for my nurse registration - when we put in the ITA the original documents were left with them with photocopies - these dont need to be certified unless you cannot leave the originals. They were all posted back to us with our visas by registered post - no worries. Hope this will save folks cost, time and hassle :yes
