Me and my wife are travelling to London tomorrow to hand in our ITA and we were wondering if this was a common practice, and whether anybody else have used this method, where to go, and what time they are open.
Also are their any pitfalls to be aware of, common mistakes with the ITA application to bear in mind.
Any info would be great.
Cheers

Their offices don't open until 10am and you simply go upstairs to the immigration, take a ticket number and wait your turn.
An officer will go through the paperwork with you and give you receipts for the documents they keep.
The chap that did ours was very obliging in answering the questions that we had and we were in and out within 20 minutes.
All the best to you - you're on the final leg.

Just reading this is it best to actually travel to the offices in London cos slight trek from Scotland but if we had to do it? Anyone done it the old fashioned way through snail mail or do they have to physically see you to verify?
Thanks

No, they don't have to physically see you - it's just that I was a bit paranoid at the time and didn't trust Royal Mail !!!
If I remember rightly, I had quotes from a few couriers which varied between £50 to about £150.

Hi Peebles,
We are going down just to be on the safe side as every important document we own is going down with us and you never know with the post, you can send it registered but the compensation would only cover you for replacing the documents (£500 I beleive) but you have the hassle of doing it.
Scotland is a long trek though!

We sent ours by recorded post and it was ok, we had no choice as it was a Friday night by the time we got the medicals back and we flew out to NZ on temp Visa on the Sunday. We had planned to take them in person, but Royal Mail did the job, this time.

Well, I thought I would update you on the ITA delivery, we went to London and dropped in to NZ House, very impressive, lady at the front desk was a bit grumpy though, we took a ticket, waited 10 mins and it took 20 mins to check through everything with an adviser and then it was off to Hamley's for a toy for the kid! Oh and me!
She did say the turn around time for an ITA that is in good order was around 1-3 months at the moment with or without a job offer, which she seemed surprised about!
Anyway, fingers crossed.
