So what radio station/s do you listen to here in NZ?

I bought a cheapie radio my first week in NZ, in the Warehouse...needed some entertainment as no TV, Stereo etc. Still listening to the first radio station I happened to tune radio into....Auckland Classic FM 97.4. Not classical music though...80's and 90's mostly, plus the odd chart stuff.

Hi! If you like overnight radio, the 12am-6am show on Radio NZ National is very good (a couple of presenters take turns to do a few nights each), with quite a bit of variety: stories, music, features, etc.
I also like Radio Live/Radio Pacific's overnight show (1am-6am). The first half of the week it's hosted by Ewing Stevens, who has been presenting radio for many years. It's mainly phone-in based.

I am also a Radio NZ fan. In fact, I listen to it via the Internet all the time - I am not in NZ yet.

I go between The Rock 100.?? , The Edge 94.2 and Auckland Classic FM

Hubby likes the talkie ones, think its newstalk ZB he listens to 89.4

We listen to Breeze at home,we love it and sing along all day. Our kids love it too.
I think Ste might listen to the rock channel at night in his lorry. Just to keep him going on them long lonely nz roads.

Love the station, so much so that they keep playing tracks that i had just forgotten about so i immediately download the track when i hit home.

We listen to ZM in Hamilton, 89.9 I think. Its not quite Chris Moyles and Scott Mills but prob as close as we gonna get :laugh

I listen to ZM FM, it's not brilliant, but it's by far the best I've been able to find in this area. Actually I quite like Polly and Grant in the morning.

As a fan of Radio 4 in UK, I like the BBC World Service on 810 AM :o

National Radio (Kathryn Ryan in the mornings), Radio 4 via the internet and The Breeze (Wellington) in the car - can only take so much of it though.

We like Coast, the only trouble is they do not seem to have a very wide range of songs.

Only station we ever listened to in our 18 months in NZ. Don't even miss it now I listen to it on the internet.

It's the only station anywhere I've ever listened to that played any Zep apart from STH since Caroline closed down back in '89?

If you listen to it a lot you'll notice their play list doesn't seem to change very much from day today - you can almost tell the time by the songs they play.
