well this is us, all packed, house as clean as possible just waiting for shippers in a couple of weeks,

spent last night at in laws, same again for tonight.

then up early and off to Manchester for flights,

have laptop in hand baggage so may get a chance to log on at heathrow, if not then will do from LA.

Thanks to all those who have helped us so far on our journey, with info and messges of support.

Jade, hope G is doing well and the hospital know who he is now.

All the house sellers, I hope all is going well and that offers come flooding in soon.

All those in Auckland, I hope to meet you on the 1st.

Arrived late last night in LA, don't know how anyone ever does the whole journey in one go, I was so tired last night.

Got up at 5am to leave home in UK, got to Manchester Airport before 7, for 10:30 flight to heathrow, long wait in heathrow before a flight back over manchester, ten hours after we had first got there. I hindsight would have gone down to london the previous day and stayed over to reduce the travelling time.
arrived in LA around 8pm, (4am UK time) and then had long wait for immigration, not the most thrilling time I have ever spent in my life but my finger print and retinal scan were fine (thanks Steve)
Then a bit of confusion about the car we had arranged to take us to anaheim, wouldn't recommend express shuttle - had problems with the free phone number and then a long wait until the car turned up, he then missed us as he had terminal 4, not terminal 2 on his pager.
Finally arrived at hotel at 11pm local time.

One note - having a child being sick did not help us clear immigration any quicker
