We arrived in NZ, Whangarei last november, and waited to settle in a little, and then started on our EOI in about feb. 2 weeks after sending off the EOI we were selected. We sent off our completed applications on July 4th. Then, 2 days ago 18th August we got the letter!! So that was just less than 7 weeks altogether, and in between they wanted some more info.
So I got the letter 2 days ago - Approval In Principal!!!
I couldnt believe it, I hought it was a letter confirming reciept of some more info they wanted, or, even worse, a letter wanting more info. After reading it i felt numb and excited, and called my wife at her work to tell her. I have read the letter through 5 or more times, and we still cant beleive it, its the best feeling.
Now when i look at our beatiful environment, like the harbour and montains, i see them differantly - now they are ours :raebanana
All that hard work has finally worked out. Its such a great feeling we can stay, and dont have to go back to the UK next year. Moving here was the right thing, we love it, and never really want to go back to the UK.
I may write a '10 Months In NZ' thread soon to follow up our '3 Months In NZ (http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9796)'
