Well we made it - finally! After over two years of planning and saving, we are finally here in Auckland. We flew from JFK to LAX, spent a week with my in-laws and flew from LAX to Auckland, landing there this morning. It was great to spend some time with my ILs but it was also a very sad time as my father-in-law had passed away two weeks earlier. They scheduled the service for coincide with our visit. Last year we lost one of Greg's brothers and his sister's husband within a month of each other. Although everyone was sad to see us leave, the concensus was life is too short. Go and live your dream.

We're tired and a bit stressed but still in one piece. The kids had a couple of melt downs on the plane but slept for the most part. Sorted out our bank cards and cell phones this morning and can't wait to meet everyone at the Auckland meet up on September 1st. Then everyone can pinch me because I still can't believe I'm here.

My sisters tell me they don't write me so much because they are self-conscious over spelling and wording because I'm a teacher. :uhoh I just keep telling them, "Hey, when I'm not at school, I'm off duty. Don't worry about it!!"
