Hi Everyone,
I was going to be interviewed by a employer from NZ. It is a telephonic interview. Please provide me your valuable suggestions. As this is my first telephonic interview from NZ. let me know how to face it. Its for IT job vacancy.
what type of questions I may expect?
Thanks

OH got his IT job with only telephone interview. His advice is that what they really want in NZ is experience....simple as that! You need to convince them that you have experience in whatever area of IT you are looking at.

Hi Ragu,
I have not had an international one but because of the distances in Oz they are very common. Often you get the questions beforehand and 15 minutes to think of answers... so do the face to face candidates. You could ask for them to be e-mailed or faxed to you if this is the case
Have questions ready that you want to ask, have your application in front of you so that you can refer to it, write the questions down or even comments that you think of as you go through so that you can refer back to them. If you have submitted an application based on "Criteria" most the questions you are asked will be related to these.
Be positive.
One thing you can do is wear your underwear... they will never know! Seriously though, I do know people who have worn a suit or something smart that put them more in the "interview" frame of mind.
I hope this might help. Good luck!

i got my job via a telephone interview, was easier than usual interviews as you can have loads of notes out in front of you. we were asked about why we wanted to go to nz just as much as job experience etc. They were keen to see what experience i could add from outside nz perspective.

its a lot easier doing the interviews over the phone.

good luck

Exactly....experience seems to be the biggie here!
