Its a IT software Developer job.
Let me know what will be the industrial salary. I am 3 Years EXP.

Need more info about your previous experience, qualifications, training courses to have any idea of salary to aim for...varies alot. 5 more years of IT experience and you could be earning quite a decent salary by NZ standards.

However, to get a more precise number surely it is as familyofmonkeys says, will depend on your precise qualifications and experience, type of company you will be working for, etc.

I am 3 years exp as telecom software developer and test analyst.
my office may be at wellington and Auckland.
Employer is a global telecom company

Rule of thumb for me is if your salary was £40k UK then it will be $80k NZ if not a little under that. I used to earn £40k in UK and now nearer $70k NZ. OH used to get £35 per hour UK Software Dev now is is on $65NZ so there does seem to me to be a trend. I woudl expect him to be on $80k here if he was employed, has 35 yrs exp though.

I would go a little higher as they will try to reduce it anyway.

As an ex recruiter here in NZ I would say around NZ$45-55k but depends what you are dev in?????And how long they have been looking.

A good one is to look at job in trademe and put a salary range and see what comes up. Even though they do not state salary when recruiters place the advert they have to put a salary band in to get the advert out there.
