Silly question but just unsure of a few things as we wind down our last couple of weeks here in Canada and everything is a blur!

My husband received his passport with his Work Visa. At what stage does it turn into a permit? Is this once he arrives in NZ or do we have to do anything else to make it happen?

And just to double check....as I am Aussie citizen...I can just arrive and then apply for an IRD number once we get there...correct?

I think I know all the answers to these questions but am needing to reassure myslef and cross on more thing off the list.

A visa is to enter NZ, it becomes a permit once used to enter.
Yes I think you right, you just need to visit your local tax office once in NZ.
