Well, to be honest, Spring is officially still one week away, but that hasn't stopped all the little lambies being born. We've just come back from Cornwall Park and One Tree Hill and mum and off-spring and quite happy to pose for pictures, as long as you don't get too close...

So, if you're feeling inclined, go for a walk, or you can drive to the top of One Tree Hill, and have a great time. It doesn't compare with StevieD's experience, but it is thoroughly recommended for those with kids or just generally young of heart. :nice1

We live just off Manukau Road near Royal Oak and just opposite One Tree Hill.
I make a point of driving through it every day on the way home and it's my normal running route too. It IS sort of bizarre to have to stop and wait for sheep to move out of the way when you're in the middle of a city with a million plus people :laugh

There were a few calves around a couple of weeks ago too - not sure where they've been moved to though. Can't wait for December to see the phutakawas in bloom :)
