Hey All,

I’m a UK student studying BA (Hons) Business Management and since visiting NZ for the millennium, I’ve thought about nothing else (even though I was 12 at the time), my friends and family can vouch in this respect because I talk about :D

So my plan was to move out to NZ once I’ve finished university, however the reality maybe that I have to work in the UK for 1-2 years in order to save up enough money so that I can buy a small business out there, which is my plan instead of getting a job as the returns are potentially much larger than I would get in a management position.

I don’t know where I want to move to yet, I would like to take a trip over to NZ next summer but if I’m unable it will be a few years until I’ve gathered that cash. This should give me an idea of where id like to live and work.

Has anyone run a business in NZ, what were your experiences?

Would anyone be interested in helping me to run a business?

Alex

Has anyone run a business in NZ, what were your experiences?Hello Alex, running a business in NZ is not much different than running one anywhere, the company and tax accounting requirements are very similar to the UK. Finding customers, or clients, in NZ will be no easier, or harder, than most places and if your business offers something that potential clients want, then you'll be fine, but I guess that is true everywhere.

You might went to take a look at the various visas that are available for people wanting to live and work in NZ.

I run an accommodation business, and my OH runs a design company here in NZ.
