Just had a very productive phone call where I was offered a great job, on a great salary, at my ideal employer, in my ideal location. :D
I think it might be a good time to buy a lottery ticket :clap
We fly six weeks today so this is a big load off my mind.
The only slight hiccup is they want me to start 4 days after we land which doesn't give much time to find a rental, but somehow, we'll cope.
And before anyone asks - the ideal location is Invercargll!
Hey Kat, I think we've got enough folk now for a Deep South ENZ meet-up :cheers

Well done what a relief. :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana
Most employers will allow you time off to visit houses etc. So much to do in the first couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone - that's so sweet of you all. The trouble with getting a job offer at 11pm is that you don't sleep all night because you are so busy planning things in your head... I'm knackered this morning, but still relieved.

Coming from you guys... thank you - but I find your posts more informative as you're looking at it from "outside eyes" whereas I just try to dredge my memory for random titbits!

:cheers waiting at ours
And if you want any info on houses to rent let me know, I know there was a house to rent advertised at work, so PM me your email address and if any more come up I will forward them to you.
We rented ours with RayWhite, Jenny was really helpful & the rental was top class. (pics on blog)
See you soon and hope you sleep better tomorrow:nice1
oh and I forgot - I found this site today - you can read a few editions to get into the swing of things - and see if you spot the typo's too ;)

Kat that's a great site... although maybe I should be scared of it!
we're looking for a 2 or 3 bed pretty much anywhere, although if we can avoid the Clifton pong, that would be good.
Ideally I'd like something in the Tweed, Isabella, Herbert, Dee Street square, but that's only because I hanker to walk to work through Queens Park. I think practical thoughts are going to have to outweigh any nostalgic romance on my part!
I'll send you my email and if there is anything that you see cropping up, I'd be happy for the tip off.
It's rather handy that you're now slap bang working in the centre of the city's biggest social networking groups!
