Well, we have arrived in NZ, we landed in Auckland at 06:00 this morning having left LA at 10:30 a couple of days ago. We lost a day as we crossed the international date line. Kim and the boys managed a few hours sleep on the plane, Josh in particular had a very good sleep, we got through immigration very quickly but then had a problem with an apple getting through customs, but we managed to get it sorted. As we came through it was great to see Jill, Doug and Charlotte waiting for us, a quick coffee and cake and then braved the traffic across the harbour bridge. Have spent a few hours on the beach this afternoon, trying to get our body clocks adjusted and have even managed a quick visit to the warehouse.
More info when we have had a good sleep

Welcome to you all, kia ora!

Bit on the windy side today, but good you could get some beach time in already.
Enjoy the acclimatisation process,
Gil

Went down to long beach to kick a ball and it was windy (at least that was my excuse for not being able to kick a rugby ball)

groovy -doovy, you're there! Excellent. we too had problem with an apple on arrival even though it was deep in my tummy! The dog would not leave my rucksack alone where the apple had been a few hours earlier!

Enjoy the next few days and very very best of luck to Kim on her first day of work. Let us know how it goes, first impressions, everything!

That's great news! Sounds like you had a decent flight and no issues. A bit of luck with the apple though it seems. I've heard Biosecurity can be very strict with even mixups and hit you with the fine.

Take care
