What a finale! First time grateful for the ads so I could go back to breathing, stop chewing the back of the chair & unhitching my fingers from the arm rest. The most powerful scene for me was when Bill is washed away in the underground. The acting of his younger workmate in dealing with the horror of what just happened is award winning. The director was great at throwing in more suspense. Overlook some of the silly dialogues & it was a good ripping thriller.
Well I for one liked it.

Well I was crying at the end, why did his dad have to die just when they'd orgiven each other? I sneaked a peak at kev and even he had a tear in his eye!
One thing i was a bit puzzled about though - that plumber and his daughter, why and how (so quickly?!) had mum got down to London, after being trapped in her attic in the Scottish flood? I know it was to tie up loose ends - but it was a bit far fetched!

And what about the idea of the prof having only enough air to overide the system. Come on they could have given him a tank to last him longer....yes. Also if they were prepared to blast the Barrier, then why send them in in the first place, very puzzling. Apart from those two little blips it was a very good drama.
What was surprising was that only last week the authorites made it known that the Thames Barrier needs an upgrade, sooner rather than later, and it was originally placed in the wrong spot on the river. Lets hope they don't have a stonking storm:no
