Okay, I know this has been done before. Sorry. Whenever I do a search I seem to get every post ever written on anything but what I want - maybe I'm doing it wrong. Anyways, just wondered if anyone had any recent experience of medicals in London - any recommendations anyone? We live South-East and hubby works in the Docklands so East/South-east or Central would be best. Would prefer not to have to get another mortgage on the house for this too!!
Thanks
Debs

Hi Debs
You may want to pm Wannaway, he may be able to help....

We tried Pinehills but would have had to wait three weeks for an appointment (we were waiting on work visas at the time). So I tried a practice in Harley Street, expecting them to cost the earth, actually cost only GBP380 in total (2 adults and 2 kids under 5) and the results were back the same day. Unbelieveable!!
Anyone want the name etc, I can dig it out and post it if needed.

hiya Debs,
we did our meds last month in London, both in Harley St (er 148 and 126 I think)
X-rays cost £35 each (takes 20 mins!) then take x-rays to the doctors who fills in your form, takes your blood pressure etc BUT (and this is the important part) he will send you for the blood test at a lab 5 mins walk away, results returned in 24-48 hrs.
That cost £105
As you mention hubby in Docklands, there is a panel doctors right there:Medical
Mirror Group building
1 Canada Square
And an x-ray place called the London Imaging Centre in Wimpole St WC2
Goodl Luck

Thanks Jes
Thought I'd join up now that the wheels are in motion and the countdown has begun (subject to the the usual logistical nightmare encountered on this forum).
