Hey,
I see alot of the time when watching DVD's at the beginning/end that they are not supposed to be shown in New Zealand among many other countries.
Does anyone know why this is? I personally love films/movies and could watch them all day so im hoping theres still plenty of selection!

Not 100% sure but It is probably to do with the region of your DVD. All Uk dvds are region 2 whereas NZ is region 4,
See here
http://www.sitcom.co.uk/info/DVD_regions.shtml
If you have a large collection of DVD's you want to take to NZ then you either have to buy a multi region dvd player over there or take your UK one with.
Hope this helps

Ps . You can get plenty of dvds in NZ and there are plenty of rentals available.

As to selection, check out www.flicks.co.nz (http://www.flicks.co.nz/) to see what's playing in NZ now and what's coming. It'll also tell you in which cities a movie is showing. :D

The warehouse was full of very cheap imported DVD's today, with big stickers saying that they would only work on multi region DVD players. We got Little Red Tractor for the sprogs....bit of a change to fireman sam:o
