Hi all
We are on our way, OH got phone call on Friday to say PR approved and we still shaking, excited and terrified all at the same time:clap :D
Are these mixed emotions par for the course? It's been such a roller coaster this process, its aged me about 10yrs:confused:
Getting passports back next week but I'm off to book flights before they can change their minds lol, oh & migrant levy has went up to £115 per person but hey who cares, OH hands me another glass of the vino and the whole process is starting to pale into a distant memory.
Thank you all for your words of support and if we had to do it all again ...................... ask us in a year!!!!!!!!!
Right, i better go because I'm getting all emotional again and maybe see you on the road sometime.

Thats great news Liz.
Yes it is an emotional rollercoaster even for us and we are spreading the move over a year with one of us in the UK and one in NZ.Its well worth it in the end though.
I wish you all good health, happiness and success for the future.
Kindest regards

wahay, big congratulations. I reckon those emotions are completely normal and I'd worry if I didn't feel like that.

Brilliant news, congratulations !:raebanana :raebanana :raebanana
And yes, the mixed feelings are quite normal IMO, it is after all a huge adventure to move to the other side of the world !
I too remember the feelings very well, although we didn't have much time to pause for thought as our PR approval was loooooong overdue (took 14 months in total, due to medical issues). By then the house was already sold and close to exchanging, so we had to move quick smart ! With the packing and all still to do we left for NZ less than a month after getting the Approval in Principle, so really not much time to deliberate ;) !
Good luck with the final preparations before leaving (when are you booking the flights for ?) and the start of your new life in this wonderful country !

Congratulations and it is indeed an emotional rollercoaster. I don't think I relaxed until I stepped off the plane.

:raebanana :raebanana Congratulations. Yes those emotions are entirely normal, I remember them well. It's very scary and will be for a while yet. We've been here 4 months now and starting to feel as if it's been forever but those feelings in the first few weeks are very strange... up one moment, down the next, but so far I have managed to go up again!!
We are also in Taupo, so let us know when you get here, I might be able to help out, emotionally if not physically!!
Good luck.:yes

Its one of the best (and scariest) feelings that I have ever had so the rollercoaster emotions are definitely par for the course. :raebanana
